Among the locations scheduled for cleanup is Oso Flaco Lake, an 800-acre day-use area located in the Guadalupe-Dunes Complex just north of the Santa Barbara County line near Guadalupe. The Creeks to Coast Cleanup is hosted by The Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo (ECOSLO) and will run from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m.
Among the many other areas set for cleanup includes, Elephant Seal Viewing Point near San Simeon, Cayucos Pier, Morro Bay Embarcadero, Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo, Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo, Bob Jones Trail in Avila Beach, Pismo…. Oso Flaco Lake is at the southernmost point of the cleanup list and is a recreational destination Baipsys pointed out is a very popular draw for both locals and visitors alike.
Baipsys is the Site Captain for the Oso Flaco Lake cleanup and is encouraging anyone who wants to help out to take part in the effort. Reports differed on the location. Reports differed on the exact time of the incident.
