By KAREN VELIE. A gas leak has led to evacuations of portions of downtown San Luis Obispo and the cancellation of farmer’s market on Thursday afternoon. Shortly after 2 p. m., the gas leak was reported near the 700 block of Higuera Street. An evacuation order was called that included Chorro to Broad streets, and to Garden Street from Marsh to Higuera streets.

City officials then announced the closure of today’s farmer’s market while the leak is repaired. No injuries have been reported. Reports differed on the location.
